  • Rudolph L. Gosewisch, Jr., 87, a 38 year resident of Glen Burnie and formerly of Baltimore City died on March 21, 2014 at Glen Burnie Health and Rehabilitation Center.

    He was born on January 3, 1927 in Maryland to the late Rudolph and Marie Gosewisch.

    Mr. Gosewisch served in the US Army and was a Veteran of WWII.  He worked his early years as a welder then over 30 years for Koppers Co. as a sheet metal layout designer retiring in 1990.  He was a member of the American Legion.  He enjoyed watching his children bowl and was an avid bowler himself and in his younger years he enjoyed driving stock cars.

    Mr. Gosewisch is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Jean Gosewisch, his sisters Eleanor “Barbara” Van Bavel and Betty Porter.

    He is survived by his sons; Dennis Gosewisch of Severna Park, Gregory Gosewisch of Severn, Douglas Gosewisch of Glen Burnie, his daughters; Linda Rohleder of Glen Burnie, Karen Henley of Baltimore, and Brenda Gosewisch of Severna Park, his sisters Elsie Crowfoot of Glen Burnie and Sandra Cox of NC, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

    Friends may visit on April 24 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, P.A. where a memorial service will begin at 8:00 PM.  Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville.
