Details:
  • Joseph H. Faulstich, 83, died May 24 at his residence in Lake Shore.  Mr. Faulstich was a resident of Pasadena for over 54 years, born in Baltimore to the late Joseph Phillip and Nellie Faulstich.


    He was inducted in the US Army in 1952 and bravely served in the Korean War. He worked at Crown Cork and Seal before and after the military, starting in 1948, he retired in 1992 after 44 years of service.


    Mr. Faulstich enjoyed inventing and fabricating all manner of useful items, woodworking, fishing, spending time with his family, working out in his yard, cutting grass with his "old girl," sitting on his porch and waving to the neighbors as they traveled by.  He was also an avid train and automobile enthusiast.


    He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years Carrie H. Faulstich and son Christopher Lightning Jr.


    He is survived by a daughter, Sherry L. Deters and devoted partner Henry Porter of Pasadena, a step-mother Lydia Faulstich of Pasadena, a brother Bruce Faulstich of Baltimore, 3 grandchildren Abigail, Betsy, and Christopher Lightning III, 3 Nieces Jenna Schreiber and Katie Faulstich both of Pasadena, and Jordan Faulstich of Baltimore, a grandniece Emily Schreiber and grandnephew Nathan Schreiber both of Pasadena, and a daughter-in-law Peggy Lightning.


    A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, May 28th, 10 AM Glen Haven Cemetery, Glen Burnie.
