  • Shirley A. Netzer, 78, a 50 year resident of Pasadena and formerly of Halethorpe died on December 23, 2014 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

    She was born on October 9, 1936 in Paw Paw, WV to the late Hersey and Evelyn Largent.

    Mrs. Netzer and her husband founded the Bible Church of Lake Shore and the adjoining school.  Mrs. Netzer a loving wife, mother and grandmother devoted her life to her family and the church.  She taught the ladies bible study.  A pillar of the community , her testimony will live on through the lives she touched.

    Her hobbies included cooking, baking, bird watching, and doll collecting.  She was also an avid gardener.

    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Netzer is preceded in death by her husband Pastor William “Bill” Netzer, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers.

    She is survived by her sons David A. of Pasadena, Daniel of FL, and H. Andrew Netzer of SC, her daughter Jennifer Sackmann of Pasadena, her brother Max Largent and his wife Algerene of AK, 17 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

    Friends may call on Monday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Bible Church of Lake Shore 860 Swift Rd. Pasadena MD 21122 where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM.  Interment Friday, January 2, 2014 at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
