Charles K. Pierson, 93, a 5 year resident of Glen Burnie and formerly of Daytona Beach Florida, died on Monday, April 18th, 2016 at Loch Raven Community Center.
He was born on December 24th, 1922 in Pollock,MO to the late Ethel and George Riley Pierson. Mr. Pierson was a self-employed electrician in Daytona. He was a member of the United Electrical Union. He was a WWII veteran of the US Navy and was a member in the VFW in Daytona Beach. When he was in boot camp, Henry Fonda was in his company. Mr. Pierson taught Gunnary at the US Naval Academy from 1946-1948. After the Naval academy, he joined the Merchant Marine for about 4 years. Mr. Pierson's hobbies included fishing.
In addition to his parents Mr. Pierson is preceded in death by his wife Clara Pierson of 40 years.Also his 4 sisters, Beatrice Edgington, Lorraine Larrick, Guinevere Pierson, and Lola Reger.
He is survived by his niece Judy Hensley and her husband Bob of Glen Burnie. Also his great nephews, Jeff Flanary and spouse Angela Flanary & Josh Flanary and spouse Cara Flanary. all of Littlestown, PA. His great great nieces Holly, Lindsey, & Tori Flanary, also great great nephews Tyler Lamarre, & Kelly Seal all of Littlestown, PA Graveside Services with be held April 29th, 2016 and 11:30 AM at Maryland Veteran Cemetery in Crownsville Maryland.
