  • Ronald A. Deasel, 67,  a 43 year resident of Glen Burnie and formerly of Baltimore, died on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at his residence.
    He was born on Tuesday, June 29, 1948 in Baltimore,  MD to Henry "Hank" and the late Lorraine Deasel.  Ron grew up in Pasadena on the Magothy River.  He graduated in 1967 from Mt. St.. Joseph Catholic High School.
    Mr. Deasel served honorably in the Navy from 1968 until 1970 and then in the reserves until 1973.  He was stationed on the USS Ethan Allen Submarine during the Vietnam War. 
    Mr. Deasel began working for US Coast Guard in the ship yard as a marine mechanic in 1971.  He worked his way up to a GS12 Equipment Specialist with the SICP retiring in 2006.
    His hobbies included playing softball and bowling for teams at the Coast Guard, and boating.  He loved music and was able to play the guitar, organ, piano and sing.
    He is survived by his son Ron A. Deasel, Jr. of  Wittman, MD, his daughter Jennifer J. Deasel of St. Michaels, MD, his sister Lorine R. Deasel-Dabeck of Elkridge, MD, his grandchildren Tony Deasel, SPC, Peyton North and Taryn North, his nieces, nephew, cousins, many extended family, co-workers and friends.

     

    Friends may call on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Stallings Funeral Home, P.A. where funeral services will begin at 11:30 AM.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
