    Garnett "Jim" M. Brubaker, Sr., 95, of Catonsville and formerly of Severna Park and Magothy Manor died on January 8, 2009 at the Dorsey Center in Charlestown Retirement Community.  He was born on November 14, 1913 in Chambersburg, PA to the late Grandville M. and Ida M. Brubaker. 
    Mr. Brubaker was a Staff Sargent in the Army Air corp during WWII and was stationed in North Africa as well as Italy.
    He worked for BGE as a customer service technician for 27 years until his retirement in 1976.
    Mr. Brubaker was a past member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the American Legion Post #175, the BGE Retirees Association, and the Elks of Severna Park where he was the oldest living WWII Veteran.
    He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Christine C. Brubaker, 1 brother, and 4 sisters.
    Mr. Brubaker is survived by his sons G. Mark Brubaker, Jr. and his wife Linda of Colonial Beach, VA and Edwin Brubaker of Baltimore, MD, his grandchildren Michael Brubaker and Lisa Oursler, and 3 great grandchildren.
    A memorial mass will be held on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Angels in Charlestown Retirement Community, Catonsville, MD.  Memorial contributions may be made to Charlestown Benevolence Fund, 715 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD 21228
