  • William C. Stinchcomb, 78, a sixteen year resident of Pasadena and formerly of Linthicum died on September 5, 2016 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

    He was born on March 9, 1938 in Baltimore, MD to the late William H. and Komazawa Stinchcomb.

    Mr. Stinchcomb served honorably in the US Air Force from 1955 to 1959. He later worked as an auto mechanic teacher for Baltimore City Schools spending most of his career at Edmonson and Southern High Schools.  He retired from his position in the early 1980's with over 30 years of service.  He owned a marina in Florida and then S&W Marine in Pasadena from 1997 until 2007.

    Mr. Stinchcomb was very active in the boating community and served as Commodore of the Marley Boat Club in 2007.

    In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sons William C. Stinchcomb, Jr. and  Philip "Todd" Stinchcomb.

    He is survived by his significant other of 16 years, Kay VanNote, his daughters Dotty Holoubek of Severna Park, Gail Helm of Pasadena, and Laura Stinchcomb of Severna Park, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

    Interment will be at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville on September 9, 2016 at 10:00 AM
