  • Nobuko Coronel, 86, a 2 year resident of Pasadena and former resident of Laurel died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Morning Rainbow Assisted Living. 

    Mrs. Coronel was born June 18, 1930 in Okinawa, Japan to the late Mr. and Mrs. Nakamoto. She worked as a housewife. Mrs. Coronel obtained her US citizenship in the 70's and was proud to be an American.  She loved to play poker, gamble, going to the race track and fishing. 

    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Coronel is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert A. Coronel  son Robert Andrew Coronel Jr. and son-in-law Robert Hale. 

    She is survived by her son Dr. Don A. Coronel and wife JoAnn of Laurel, MD, daughters Hikari Yukiko Nakamoto of Silver Spring, MD, Ruth Coronel-Hale of Pasadena, MD, Rickolan Coronel and husband Eugene Debari Jr. of Upper Marlboro, MD, grandchildren Emi Garvey and husband Kevin, Doris Brennan and husband Brian, Roger Burdette and wife Diane, William Burdette, Dr. Nicholas Coronel and wife Dr. Andrea Coronel, great grandchildren Amanda Dinch, Sophia Dinch, Richard Brownley, Conor Brownley and wife Jessica, Aiden Garvey, Eliana Burdette, Hayden Burdette and great great granddaughter Aubrey Brownley. 

    Friends may call Sunday, October 30, from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122

    Services will be held Monday, October 31, at 11:30 AM at Stallings Funeral Home. Interment is at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
