  • Charles Joseph Heinz, Sr., 87, a resident of Pasadena since 1945, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. 

    Mr. Heinz was born December 24, 1929 in Baltimore, MD to the late Frances and Frederick Von Heinz. 

    He was a self-employed plumber for Charles J. Heinz Plumbing and Heating. He retired in the early 2000's. He was a Korean war Veteran and served honorably in the US Army. He was a member of the American Legion and the Masonic Lodge # 213 in Glen Burnie where he was a 32nd degree Shriner. 

    In addition to his parents, Mr. Heinz is preceded in death by his son Charles J. Heinz Jr., brothers Frederick Heinz, George Heinz and sisters Estelle McCaulley and Mary Jane Liebno. 

    He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marie Heinz, daughters Mildred M. Martin of Pasadena, Karen L. Hyson of Pasadena, Donna E. MacFetrich of Pasadena, Jayne E. O'Brien of Pasadena, Carol F. Ernest of Pasadena, Judy L. Schuttler of Pasadena, sisters Anna Hawkins of Pasadena, Vera Hood of Glen Burnie, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. 

    Friends may call Sunday, March 26, from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where services will be held Monday, March 27 at  9:30 am. Interment will be at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.  

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Childrens Hospital, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607
