  • Mary M. Calvert, 97, an 82 year resident of Pasadena died on April 11, 2018 at her niece's residence in Severna Park,.

    She was born on December 24, 1920 to the late Francis and Catherine Moran.  Mary was born in Baltimore and grew up in the Hampden area.

    Mrs. Calvert was a member of Magothy United Methodist Church.  She and her husband were members of Friends of Hancock's Resolution as well as the Ann Arrundell Historical Society in 1962.  Mrs. Calvert was a member of the Inner Wheel of the Lake Shore Rotary until 2009 when she became a member of the Rotary of Lake Shore.  She was also a Girl Scout Troop Leader in Pasadena during the 1940's and 50's.

    Mrs. Calvert worked for Pan-Maryland Airways at Friendship Airport, the Bendix Corporation, she owned the Cracker Barrel Country Store in Pasadena and she was the manager at Browse & Buy Shoppe owned by Ann Arrundell Historical Society.

    Her hobbies included china painting during the 1970's which lead to doll making.  She also loved interior decoration.

    In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years James Calvert, her siblings Catherine M. Osborne, Francis "Frank" D. Moran, and Theresa L. Brown and her niece Catherine M. Naghdi.

    Mrs. Calvert is survived by her nephew Michael M. Naghdi, her great niece Tammy Naghdi and her great nephew Michael P. Naghdi and a great niece Brooke R. A. Naghdi. 

    Friends may call on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, P.A. where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 AM. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made to Lake Shore Severna Park Rotary Club or the Ann Arrundell Historical Society.
