  • Jack Harmon Foster, Sr., 84, a resident of Pasadena since 1958, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018.

Mr. Foster was born June 25, 1933 in Ripley, New York to the late Raymond H. and Marion Foster. He served honorably in the US Navy from 1952-1956 and trained as an electrician. He used that training to get a job with ADT Alarms Systems and that career choice would have him working there for over 35 years. He retired from ADT and went to college to learn how to use a computer. He wanted to sell Real Estate, which he did for a number of years at Volke Reality.  He also learned how to be a locksmith which he did for many years. In the early 60's he formed the Boy Scout Troop #723 at Magothy United Methodist Church in Jacobsville. In the mid 70's he formed the Explorer Post in Pasadena.

He was an avid sports lover; liked to watch basketball; was a fan of the Ravens and the Orioles, loved to watch and play golf. He enjoyed going to the Brumwell Flea Market every weekend. He liked to paint and create crafts which he had a natural gift for and had a hobbie for coin collecting. He also liked to feed the birds and the squirrels in their yard and really enjoyed watching them from their kitchen window.

Jack and Betty traveled to numerous locations around the country. They went on many cruises, had lots of parties in their home, and provieded a loving home for their family. He lived a good life and he was loved. He will certainly be missed.

Mr. Foster is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty Ann Foster; two sons Jack H. Foster Jr. and his wife Monique Foster of Pasadena, MD; Terry Foster and his wife Linda D'Apolito of Hawley, PA; one daughter Valerie Foster and her significant other Scott Switzer of Baltimore, MD; 3 Grandchildren Elissa, Joshua, and Domonque, 1 great grandson,  one brother Richard Foster and his wife Betsy, two sisters Sally Wood and Betty Lou Foster.
