  • Richard "Whitey" N. Robinson, 83, a 40 year resident of Pasadena and formerly of Brooklyn Park died on August 1, 2018 at his residence.

    He was born in New Brighton PA on June 24, 1935 to the late Harold N. and Blanch Robinson and graduated from Freedom High School in Freedom, PA.

    Mr. Robinson served honorably in the US Air Force from 1955 until 1959.

    He worked as a security guard for Kennecott Copper Corporation from 1959 until 1984 and then Northrop Grumman from 1984 until his retirement in 1998.

    Mr. Robinson was a member of Jenkins Memorial Church, the American Legion, the Pinewood Owls Bowling League at Jumpers Hole Road, and during the 60's he was a volunteer Firefighter in Brooklyn Park.

    In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Shelby "Jean" Robinson, his son Terry Eugene Robinson, his brother George Robinson and his sister Kathryn Starr.

    Mr. Robinson is survived by his daughter Brenda Sue Meytt (Don), his brothers; Eddie, Kenny, and Marlin Robinson, his sisters Shirley Robinson and Myra Sharp, his grandchildren Shannon, Brittany Duncan (Steve), and Stephen, and his great granddaugther Sophia.

    Friends may call on Monday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the  Stallings Funeral Home, P.A.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 11:00 AM at Jenkins Memorial Church.  Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Jenkins Memorial Church 133 Riviera Drive Pasadena, MD 21122.
