  • Gordon D. Hanna, 83, a lifelong resident of Pasadena, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. 

    Mr. Hanna was born April 11, 1935 in Baltimore, MD to the late James Vernon and Evelyn Hanna. He graduated from University of Maryland with a Bachelor's Degree in Science. He served honorably in the US Army National Guard. He taught industrial arts for 25 years at Northeast High School and prior to that, at middle schools. Mr. Hanna was the first Eagle Scout in Anne Arundel County in the early 1950's. He was active in the Boy Scouts Troop #785 as the assistant Scout Master. He was a member of the Gem Cutter Guild of Baltimore and of the Arundel Carving Club. He was also a member of the Magothy United Methodist Church. 

    Mr. Hanna is survived by his wife of 49 years, Peggy Hanna, sons John Hanna and his wife Sharon of Bethesda, Thomas Hanna and his wife Marie of San Francisco Bay Area, brother Dave Hanna and grandchildren Carolyn and Charles. 

    Friends may call Sunday, October 14th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122. Services will be held Monday, October 15th at 10:00 am at Magothy United Methodist Church, 3703 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122. Interment is private. 

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice in Gordon Hanna's name.
