  • Francis "Bud" J. Manning, 83, a visitor of Pasadena since May 2018, and formerly of Jacksonville, FL for 33 years passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 in his home. 

    Mr. Manning was born September 1, 1934 in Niagara Falls, NY to the late John and Ellen Manning. He graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1952 and then from Springfield College in Springfield, MA in 1960. He then went on to obtain his Master's degree at the University of Buffalo in the early 1970's.

    He was employed at the YMCA in various titles up to Executive Director in Haverhill, MA, Town of Tonawanda, NY, Grand Rapids, MI, Zanesville, OH, Atlanta, GA. He retired in 1985 after 20 years of service. After his retirement to Florida, he substituted and taught in various schools, one of them being Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. He was a member of Rotary International and various clubs. He enjoyed sports, stamp collecting, and coached basketball. He also enjoyed trips with the family. When in Niagara Falls, he was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. 

    In addition to his parents, Mr. Manning is preceded in death by his brothers Robert Manning, Hank Manning, and sisters Dorothy Manning and Gladys Fittante, and his son in law Wayne Osowski. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia A. Manning, sons John D. Manning and wife Kim of Atlanta, GA, Paul B. Manning and wife Ali of Madison, WI, daughters Lori J. Osowski of Pasadena, MD, Sandra J. Manning of Half Moon Bay, CA, Kim M. Watkins and husband Robbie of Keystone Heights, FL, grandchildren Chris, Sara, Robert (Jessica), Nicole, Jamie (Tevi), Katy (Dan), Cameron, Garrett, Timothy, Julia, Jenna and a great granddaughter Janelle. 

    A Celebration of Life will be held at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1010 Michigan Ave., Niagara Falls, NY 14305 on October 20, 2018.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St.Judes Childrens Hospital
