  • Naomi Esther Staup, 94, a 48 year resident of Pasadena, died on October 26, 2018, of natural causes, at Assisted Living Well in Millersville, MD.

    Naomi was born on October 14, 1924 in Baltimore, MD, to the late John and Maryanne Brodowski. Naomi, loving Wife and Mother, devoted 'Mom Mom' to her 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, was a dedicated homemaker. She was a member of Galilee Lutheran Church, Senior's Club, Homemaker's Group, Bunco Club, Book Club, and Ceramics Club. She enjoyed spending time with family and close friends and her many journeys traveling around the world.

    In addition to her parents, Naomi is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Roy Sinclair Staup Sr., her son Roy S Staup Jr., son-in-law Francis T Doyle, son-in-law Robert F Miller, brothers John and wife Emilia Brodowski, William and wife Mary Brodowski and sister Ruth and husband Fred Dameron.

    Naomi is survived by her daughters, Joyce Lee Rey and her husband David, Janice Claire Doyle, Jeanne Lynn Miller, Judy Carol Steele and her husband Stuart, and Joan Marie Martini and her husband Brian; her sister Lillian L Noel and her husband Lee; 11 grandchildren, Bryan and his wife Dawn, Barbra and her husband Christopher, Todd and his wife Geraldine, Jeremy, Justin and his wife Angelique, Kristin and her husband John, Stuart and his wife Mary, Heather and her husband Robert, Kristi and her husband Jon, Kelly and her husband Sam, Karlee with her fiancé Justin; and 20 great grandchildren, Ashlea, Taylor, Kimberly, Declan, Hannah, Jonathan, Kaitlyn, Seth, Luna, Jeffrey, Holland, Skylar, Asher, Micah, River, Clara, Calvin, Silas, Judah, and Bryce – Naomi and Roy's Legacy of Love.

    Friends may call on Tuesday, October 30 from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Stallings Funeral Home, P.A. where services will be held on Wednesday, October 31 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be immediately following the service at Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Dundalk, MD.
