  • Mrs. Almy “Sue” Whitlock (Herron), daughter of Ella Mae (McFarland) and Harold Herron, born on August 13, 1943 in Baltimore, MD passed away peacefully on December 14, 2018 at Hospice of the Chesapeake, surrounded by her dear family.
Upon graduation from high school in 1962, she was voted Miss Southern (Baltimore City). Sue was what would be considered a professional volunteer, sharing her talents with various associations in the Glen Burnie community:  The Big Glen Burnie Carnival (40 years), countless seasons managing the Glen Burnie Boys Baseball snack shack, numerous political campaigns for local candidates, more than 40 years with the Glen Burnie Improvement Association, 10 years at the Glendale Elementary School’s PTA, and so many other organizations. She dedicated her life to her family, but was also employed at the Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce, and then later in life as a wedding coordinator at Michael’s 8th Avenue.
She is survived by her loving husband, Paul R., and her two sons Paul E. 2nd and Albert E. 2nd (Jennifer), her two grandsons Jake and Luke, and her numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to Sue’s Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22nd at the Cedar Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sue’s memory to either Baltimore-Washington Medical Center or Hospice of the Chesapeake.
