  • Bill Kayser, 76, a 13 year resident of the Glen Burnie and Pasadena area, died on May 1, 2009 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
    He was born on November 28, 1932 in Ossining, NY.
    Mr. Kayser served in the US Army and was a Korean Conflict Veteran.
    Prior to moving to Maryland he lived in Ohio where he was the Vice President of Operations for Marathon Oil.  He retired in 1996 after 10 years of service.  He was also an Officer on the Chamber of Commerce in Finley, Ohio.
    While residing in Maryland he became a member of the Lake Shore Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and served on the Board of Trustees, he was the first President of the Farmington Village Home Owners Association, and a volunteer with Partners in Care in Pasadena.
    Mr. Kayser also enjoyed Ham Radio and golfing.
    He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Nancy L. Kayser, his sons Darren Kayser and his wife Sara of Virginia Beach and the late Gene Kayser and his wife Cora of Virginia Beach, his daughters Steffanie Whicher and her husband Donald of Beaufort, SC, and Stacie Von Vulpen and her husband Gerben of Beaufort, SC, his step-daughters Kerrie Campbell of Chevy Chase and Kristin Dowling and her husband Kevin of Pasadena, his sister Florence Zeigler and her husband Elmer of Fishkill, NY, and his brother Edward Kayser and his wife Rose of Reynoldsburg, OH, 16 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
    Friends may call on Thursday, May 7, 2009 from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, PA.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2009 10:00 AM at Lake Shore Baptist Church.  Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International North AA Camp, PO Box 345, Severn, MD 21144.
