  • John W. Kruger, 90, a resident of Pasadena died on January 14, 2019 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.


    He was born on June 7, 1928 in Baltimore, MD to the late Charles R. and Anna G. Kruger.  


    Mr. Kruger served honorable in the US Army during WWII.


    John married and raised his family in Pasadena and then moved to Severn where he lived for over 20 years.  After his wife's passing he moved to Grasonville, MD with his daughter where he lived for 7 years prior to returning to his granddaughters house in Pasadena.


    He worked as a truck driver for Koontz Creamer and then York which became Halls Motors.  After his retirement he worked for Johnson Lumber and as a driver for NAPPA.


    Mr. Kruger was a member of the Local #557, life member of the Glen Burnie Elks #2260, the American Legion Post #0036 in Chestertown, and a former member of Magothy United Methodist Church, 


    In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Rose Marie Kruger, 7 siblings, and his granddaughter Nikki.


    Mr. Kruger is survived by his children; Nancy L. Kruger-Zimmerman, Clifton W. Kruger, Christina M. Monahan, Cheryl A. Hohman, and Michael J. Grubbkruger, 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.


    A graveside service will be held at Lorraine Park Cemetery on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM.


    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Kruger’s granddaughter, Nikki, to the Rett Syndrome Foundation, 4600 Devitt Drive, Cincinatti, OH 45246.
