  • Francis "Jake" E. Lowe, 85, a 57 year resident of Pasadena and formerly of Locust Point died on July 16, 2009 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
    He was born on July 26, 1923 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Albert F. and Emma Lowe.
    Mr. Lowe was a Steam fitter for the Local 438 for 58 years, retiring in 1985.
    He was in the US Navy during W.W.II were he served the USS Doneff, a destroyer escort. He was a member of the Color Guard that carried and raised the US Flag after the Japanese surrender at the Truck Islands.
    Mr. Lowe enjoyed spending time with his family.
    He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marian K. Lowe, his sons Edward K. Lowe of Annapolis, Stephen F. Lowe of Pasadena, and Thomas A. Lowe of Pasadena, his daughter Deborah Ann Roberts of Pasadena, 6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
    Mr. Lowe is preceded in death by his brothers Joseph Lowe and Owen Lowe.
    Friends may call on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, PA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 20, 2009 at the Galilee Lutheran Church. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD.
