    PHELPS, KENNETH G., SR.,92, died January 12, 2010. He was a resident of Pasadena, Maryland until 1972 before moving to Maryland's Eastern Shore where he lived until returning to Pasadena in May 2009. Mr. Phelps had been employed as a foreman at the Curtis Bay Coast Guard Yard for 32 years. He was an avid outdoors man enjoying hunting, fishing, crabbing and growing vegetables. For many years he built boats in his garage. He loved to travel especially to Key Largo, Florida every winter. Mr. Phelps was the last survivor of the 7 original members of the Stoney Creek Fishing and Hunting Club.

    He was predeceased in death by his wife of 44 years, Marie Z. Phelps, his wife of 23 years, Dorothy Lee Phelps and a grand-daughter, Theresa A. Kurtz.

    He is survived by his son, Kenneth G. Phelps, Jr. of Pasadena, his daughter, Bonnie Kurtz Dausch of Pasadena, grandchildren, Kenneth M. Phelps of Glenn Dale, Shelly L. Dillon of Milford, Delaware, Gustav S. Kurtz, Jr. of Pasadena and Susan E. Lechner of Pasadena and 9 great-grandchildren.

    A memorial celebration of life will be held at Kurtz's Beach, Pasadena Maryland on January 23, 2010 at 3 pm. Donations may be made to Talbot County Meals on Wheels.
