    Howard T. Porter a 28 year resident of Pasadena died on February 28, 2010 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

    He was born on October 18, 1928 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Anna Porter.

    Mr. Porter worked as a store manager for G.C. Murphy until his retirement in the mid 1980's.

    He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

    Mr. Porter attended Community United Methodist Church and was a member of the American Legion #40 in Glen Burnie.

    He enjoyed being with his family, reading, boating, wood carving, fishing, and bird watching.

    Mr. Porter is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia Porter, his sons Keith J. Porter and his finance E. Francine Dermer of Richmond, VA, and Bruce H. Porter of Pasadena, his daughter Rae L. Lowry and her husband James of Mt. Airy, his sisters Ninetta Zaorski of Elyria, OH and Della Cochran of Carmichaels, PA, his granddaughter Amber R. Blackburn, his great grandson Aiden Blackburn, and numerous nieces and nephews.

    Services and interment were private. Memorial contributions may be made to Community United Methodist Church.
