  •  Charles H. Calvert Jr., 96, a life long resident of Pasadena, died December 22, 2010 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. He was born November 3, 1914 on the family farm in Pasadena to the late Charles H. Sr. and  Annie Cook Calvert. Mr. Calvert was a manager in the automotive industry working through the years at various dealerships, in the 30's Nelson Cross Ford Dealer, Griebel Motors in the late 50's, and Gladding Chevrolet in the 60's. Mr. Calvert was drafed in the U.S. Army 1941 till 1946  discharged as a 1st Lt., recalled during the Korean War from 1951 and discharged 1953. He graduated from Glen Burnie High School 1931. He was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and Magothy United Methodist Church both in Pasadena, the VFW Post 2462 as their Quartermaster, Meals on Wheels, Magothy Health Center were he served as President in the 90's and 2000's, Friends of the Hancock Resolution, the Lincoln Owners Club and active with the Antique Automobile Club of America. Mr. Calvert is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Nancy E. Calvert, a son Charles A. Calvert, 3 brothers Roland V., James B., and Carroll E. Calvert. He is survived by a son Charles Scott Calvert of Lutherville, Md., a brother Edwin T. Calvert of East Berlin, Pa., 2 sisters Annabel V. Lewis, and Ruth C. Twigg both of Millersville. Friends may call on sunday from 2-5PM at the Stallings Funeral Home PA. 3111 Mountain Rd. Pasadena. Funeral services will be held on Thursday Dec. 30th. 1PM at Mt Carmel United Methodist Church 4760 Mountain Rd. Pasadena. Interment Meadowridge Cemetery.
