    Marguerite “Margo” Morton, 72, died on December 24, 2010 at Beebe Hospital in Lewis, DE.

    She was born on October 13, 1938 in Annapolis, MD to the late Victor E. and Marguerite Brumwell.

    She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Pembroke Morton, II. During their marriage they lived at many Air force bases including Okinawa, Japan, and Iceland until Mr. Morton's retirement at which time they moved to Anne Arundel County. They lived in the area for 29 years before moving to Selbyville, DE in 2002.

    Mrs. Morton worked for Anne Arundel County and the State of Maryland retiring in 2000 after 20 years of service.

    She was a member of the Lake Shore Democratic Club and Order of the Eastern Star Severna Park Chapter as well as Past Worthy Matron.

    Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing and cooking. She was known for her Cream of Crab Soup and she won 1st place in 2008 at the Soup Cook Off in Ocean City, MD.

    She is survived by her sons Pembroke Morton III of Selbyville, DE, John Morton of Dagsboro, DE, and William Morton of Selbyville, DE, her brother Thomas Brumwell of Princess Anne, her grandchildren Jacqueline E., Bradley, John Jr., Zachary, & Alexander Morton.

    She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brothers E. Victor and Joseph L. Brumwell.

    A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 4:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
