    Charles “Teddy” W. Ambrose, 81, a resident of Pasadena for 50 years and formerly of Baltimore died on January 19, 2011 at Union Memorial Hospital.

    He was born on July 7, 1929 in Brunswick, MD to the late Herbert and Mary L. Ambrose.

    Mr. Ambrose worked for over 35 years at the race tracks in Maryland and was a member of the Maryland Jockey Club. In the early 1960's he worked as a fireman with the B&O Railroad and then in the 70's as an Engineer at the Canton Railroad.

    Mr. Ambrose served in the US Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War and WWII.

    He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #181 and the Lions Club in Pasadena.

    His hobbies included painting and drawing, traveling, cruises, and golf.

    Mr. Ambrose is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years Madeline R. Ambrose.

    He is survived by his son Michael W. Ambrose & wife Katie of Pasadena, his daughter Fran D. Lisica of Glen Burnie, his grandchildren Scott Ambrose of Baltimore, Eric and Dustin Lisica of Glen Burnie, and Ashley Dilworth of Pasadena, and his great grandchild Peyton Dilworth of Pasadena.

    Friends may call on Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stalllings Funeral Home, PA where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
