    Eunice Alice Gerwig, 84, of Glen Burnie, passed away on April 6th due to complications from a brain aneurysm.

    Eunice was born in Baltimore on July 16th, 1926. She was from a family of 3 sisters and 4 brothers. She attended Southern High School and 2 years of business college in Baltimore. In the 1950's , she worked as an executive secretary for Ellicott Branch, Inc. in Baltimore. In 1965, she began her 25 year career for the Anne Arundel Co. Board of Education as the Guidance Department secretary at Northeast High School and later at Chesapeake High School, where she worked until she retired. After her retirement, she worked part-time as a registrar for the Anne Arundel Co. Board of Eduction.

    Eunice and her husband, John, where married in Baltimore and lived there for 6 years. They then resided in Pasadena for 50 years, then moved to Glen Burnie, where she resided until she passed away. They were married for 63 years, until John's passing in February, 2010.

    During the time her children attended Riviera Beach Elementary School Mrs. Gerwig served as the PTA vice president and health chairman. During this time, she, her sister, Mary, and their father sang (as Jimmy Nichols and His Two Bad Pennies) in one of the school's variety shows while her husband served as the host. She was Den Mother for the Boy Scouts of America during the time her son, John, was a member. Eunice was a member of Poplar Ridge Seniors Club, where she had served as an officer, and a past member of Stoney Creek Seniors And Riviera Beach Seniors.

    After retiring, she and her husband enjoyed camping for many years, also crabbing, Bingo, going to the theater, playing cards and games with friends and family.. Eunice and John always enjoyed hosting family celebrations and holidays in their home. As a skilled seamstress, she sewed for her children and grandchildren for many years.

    Eunice is survived by daughter Linda Good; son-in-law, David Good; 2 grandsons, John Roy and Steven; 3 granddaughters, Joy, Tiffany, and Christy; 5 great grandchildren, Camden, Savannah, Jewel, Jamie-Lynn, and Austin. Eunice was preceded in death by her husband John, son, John, 2 sisters, Mary-Elizabeth and Ellen; and 4 brothers Wallace, William, John, and Elmer.
