  • Allan F. Grant, 81, a 43 year resident of Pasadena died on April 30, 2011 at his residence.
    He was born in Warren, MI on June 23, 1929 to the late Russell A. and Catherine Grant. He was raised in Canada but later lived in various locations due to his military career.
    Mr. Grant was a Master Sergeant in the US Army with 21 years active duty. He was also a Volunteer at the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
    He attended Harundale Presbyterian Church. Mr. Grant was a member of the Clan Grant Society, VVA, DAV, World War II Reunion Group, and the St. Andrews Society of Baltimore.
    His hobbies included riding his motorcycle, reading, listening to music, participating in Scottish games, and traveling.
    Mr. Grant is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Eiko Grant, his parents, his brother James Grant and his sisters Vivian Ross and Donna Worth.
    He is survived by his son Russell A. Grant of Belden MS, his daughters Sheila G. Ruth of Severn and Carol G. Schwarzenberg of Rapid City SD, his sisters Patricia Meredith of Vancouver and Glenna Ogle of Toronto, 3 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
    Friends may call on Tuesday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday 1:00 PM at Harundale Presbyterian Church. Interment will be a private service at Arlington National Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, Disabled American Veterans, or the American Cancer Society.
