  • George D. Cole, 87, died on November 30, 2011 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
    Mr. Cole was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 30, 1924 to the late George M. and Beatrice Cole.
    He  served honorably in the US Navy from 1942 until 1947 and was a WWII Veteran.  
    Mr. Cole worked for Bethlehem Steel for 33 years retiring as a Division Forman in 1982. Upon his retirement he moved to Kissimmee, FL.
    Mr. Cole was a 32nd degree Mason with Glen Burnie Lodge #213, he was a member of the Scottish Rite, the Glen Burnie Moose, and the VFW in Kissimmee, FL.
    His hobbies included fishing, crabbing, and bowling. He participated in the Sr. Olympics for bowling and bowled on three other leagues.
    He his preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy R. Cole (nee Dehoff), his son David H. Cole, his daughter in law Karen J. Cole, his brother Melvin M. Cole, and his sister Doris E. Price.
    Mr. Cole is survived by his sons; Larry G.Cole, Steven L. Cole and his wife Shirley, and Dennis W. Cole and his wife Angela, his brothers; William H. and Ronald Cole, his sister Beatrice M. Teal, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
    Friends may call on Saturday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, PA and on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00PM at the Conrad and Thompson Funeral Home in Kissimmee, FL. Interment Florida National Cemetery on Tuesday 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Bonnie Blink 300 International Circle Cockeysville, MD 21030.
