    Hallam “Hal” M. Evans, Jr., 80, a resident of Hartly, DE and a previous resident of Glen Burnie for over 50 years.

    He was born on September 2, 1931 in Baltimore, MD to the late Hallam M., Sr. and Florence M. Evans.

    Mr. Evans graduated from Sr. High School in 1951. He served in the US Marines from 1946 to 1951 during the Korean War.

    He worked as a Police Office and then for GM for 28 years retiring in 1990.

    Mr. Evans was a member of Masonic Lodge #209 in Odenton, the Shriner-Boumi Temple, St. John Royal Arch Chapter #19 in Dundalk, MD Commandery #1 Knight Templar, the VFW Post #160 in Glen Burnie, and the MLEO (Maryland Law Enforcement Association).

     From the 70's until 2004 Hal loved traveling in his motorhome with his wife Dolores.  He loved camping, cookouts, bon fires, spending time with his family, bowling was his passion.  He loved watching all the old westerns, listening country music and being around people.

     Hal was a true friend, father, grandfather to all.  He will  be missed.  We lost a great man.

    He is preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Dolores Mae Evans. He is survived by his daughter, Robin Royston of Hartly, DE, 2 step-daughters; Teresa Valentine of Glen Burnie, MD and Joyce Webbert of Glen Burnie, MD 2 brothers; Howell Evans of Glen Burnie, MD and Hubert Evans of Pasadena, MD. Hal had  2 granddaughters and 5 step grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and 12 step-great-grandchildren.

    Friends may call on Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, PA where funeral services will be held on Friday at Noon. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.
