  • Andrew W. (Andy) Fleischmann, 86, a 17 year resident of Florida and previously a 46 year resident of Pasadena, passed away on December 30, 2011 of renal failure.
    Andy was born October 10, 1925, in Baltimore, to the late Leonard & Myrtle Fleischmann.  He spent most of his career working in manufacturing at the Proctor and Gamble plant in South Baltimore, retiring as a warehouse clamp-truck driver.
    Andy was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in Pasadena and an affliate member of the Spring Lake United Methodist Church in Sebring, Florida.  He was a life member of the Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company, having joined the Company in 1943, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2462 in Pasadena.  His hobbies included attempting to fix any household item that broke before having to purchase a new one, travelling extensively throughout the United States with his wife Margie and visiting casinos in Florida and Atlantic City.  He also enjoyed spending time with his three great grandchildren.
    Preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Marjorie (Specht) Fleischmann, Andy is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Crocker and husband Michael of Cape Coral, Florida; one son, Ronald Fleischmann and wife Cecelia of Pasadena; two sisters, Edna Kraft of Millersville and Ann Akehurst of Pasadena; two grandchildren, Nicole Hughes and husband Scott of Edgewater and Ronald Fleischmann, Sr. of Pasadena, and three great grandchildren, Ronald Fleischmann, Jr., Brooke and Ashlyn Hughes.

    Friends may call at Stallings Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. where services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will be held at Meadowridge Memorial Park.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Community United Methodist Church, Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company or Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2462.
