  • Harold E. Fink Sr. of Pasadena, MD died on Sunday, January 1, 2012. He was 82 years old.

    Born November 26, 1929 in Easton, Maryland, and raised in St. Michaels, Mr. Fink was the son of William C. Fink, former principal of St. Michaels High School, and Carrie M. Fink. A 1952 graduate of the University of Maryland, Mr. Fink served in the Air Force from 1952 through 1957. From 1958 through 1980 he was an Account Executive with a brokerage firm in Baltimore. For the last several years he had worked at home as a financial planner, and was registered with the Office of the Attorney General of Maryland.

    Mr. Fink enjoyed boating and served as Commodore of The Maryland Yacht Club on Rock Creek in Pasadena from 1978 to 1979. He enjoyed entertaining at his home on the Magothy River, where Fink Family Reunions were held each summer for many years.

    With his wife, he had been a member of The Notables, a senior singing group based in Linthicum that provided entertainment for other senior groups at banquets, & nursing homes.

    For many years he had season tickets toBaltimore Colts games and was a seat license holder of the Baltimore Ravens until recently.

    Mr. Fink had been a regular blood donor, and had served as a volunteer driver for the Red Cross.

    A longtime member of Second English Lutheran Church in Catonsville, he was at his death a member of St Mark’s Lutheran Church in Baltimore.

    He is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Donna Glyde Lura; two sons, Robert C. Fink, of Oxford, MD and Harold E. Fink Jr., of Church Hill, MD; and two daughters, Teri L. Bennett of Baltimore,MD and Diane M. Copeland of Pasadena, MD, four grandsons, and one great-grandson. Another grandson died in 1999.

    Viewing and a Memorial Service will be held at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, MD Thursday, January 5, 2012 with internment at Quickel’s Grove, Emigsville, Pennsylvania.
