    Robert “Bob” Lee Hale, 81, a resident of Pasadena for 5 years and formerly of Bowie died on May 22, 2012.

    He was born on July 27, 1930 in Tacoma Park, MD to the late John and Elizabeth Hale.

    He served in the US Marines during the Korean War and received a Purple Heart.

    Mr. Hale was a brick layer, retiring from Genco Masonry in 1987.

    His hobbies include ceramics and bowling on 3 different leagues in Crofton. He also enjoyed volunteering at his granddaughters' (Amanda & Sophia) Elementary School.

    Mr. Hale is survived by his wife of 27 years, Ruth E. Coronel-Hale, his sons Steven Hale and his wife Kim of Lothian, Roger Burdette and his wife Diane of Brandywine, and William Burdette of Crofton, his daughter Doris Coronel of Pasadena, his daughter in law Paula Burdette, his sister Margery Kincaid of Berlin, his grandchildren Aeon Hale, Daniel Ridgley, Amanda Dinch, Candis Hale, Rebekah Snapp, Jordan Hale, Kristen Holbrook, Adam Snapp, Andrew Kovach, Sophia Dinch, Amber Mauney, Eliana Burdette, and Hayden Burdette, his ister-in-laws; Yuki Nakamoto and Rickolan Coronel and her spouse, Eugene DeBari and his brother in law, Dr. Don Coronel and his spouse, Jo Ann Coronel. 
    He is preceded in death by his parents John Hale and Elizabeth McAnnallen, his brothers Jack Hale and Lawrence Hale, and his sister Janet Boykin.

    Friends may visit on Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, PA. A mass of Christian burial will be offered on Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church. Interment private.
