  • John M. Braun, 86, a resident of Pasadena for 20 years and formerly of Baltimore died on September 12, 2012.
    He was born on October 4, 1925 in Savage, MD to the late Edward P. and Sadie E. Braun.
    Mr. Braun retired in 1986 from BP Oil Co., Hawkins Point, as a supervisor after over 38 years of service.
    He was a member of Lakeland Presbyterian Church in Baltimore where he was an Elder and sang in the choir. He was a member of King David Lodge in Pasadena and Highland Lodge in Baltimore, and also a Shriner. He was in the Notables singing group with AARP and coached Riviera Beach Softball and Lake Shore Little League.
    His hobbies included fishing, gardening, mechanics, watching NASCAR, the Orioles, the Baltimore Colts and later the Baltimore Ravens.
    Mr. Braun is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mildred E. Purdham Braun, his son John E. Braun and his wife Cheryl of Solomons, MD, his daughters; Joyce Jeffrey and her husband Skip of Pasadena, Rose Owens of Severna Park, and Janet Braun of Baltimore, and was Papa to 19 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
    He is preceded in death by his son James Minnick, his daughter Ann Dalton, and many brothers and sisters.
    Friends may call on Friday, September 14 from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, PA where funeral services will be held on Saturday, 10:00 AM. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Lakeland Presbyterian Church 2926 Hollins Ferry Rd., Baltimore, MD 21230.
