  • Charles “Buddy” F. Bell, Jr., 75, a resident of Glen Burnie for 7 years and formerly of Prince Frederick died on September 30, 2012 at his residence
    He was born on February 4, 1937 in Baltimore, MD to the late Charles F., Sr. and Lucy M. Bell. Mr. Bell graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1955. He served in the US Air Force from 1956 until 1960 and then graduated from Eckels College of Mortuary Science in Philadelphia, PA in 1964.
    He worked for funeral homes in the Annapolis, Glen Burnie and Prince Frederick areas during his 48 year career. From 1981 to 1990 he assisted with transfers to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.  He also owned Bell Memorial Company in Prince Frederick and Glen Burnie from 1969 until his illness.
    Mr. Bell was a member of Glen Burnie United Methodist Church and the Calvert Co. Lions Club.
    He is survived by his companion Barbara Coulbourn of Glen Burnie, his son Charles “Chuck” F. Bell, III of Spartanburg, SC, his daughter Heather Dawn Bell of Lusby and Michelle “Shelly” Y. Beale of St. Leonard, MD his step-sons; Kevin M. Cox of Huntingtown and Dwayne Nelson Cox of Huntingtown, his step-daughters; Amy Sue Cox Wallace of Huntingtown, Donale Bernarding of Glen Burnie, Babette Brady of Glen Burnie, Patricia Coulbourn of Glen Burnie, Darlene Coulbourn of Glen Burnie, 27 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
    Mr. Bell is preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Alice Estelle Hall Cox Bell, his sisters; Joyce Dawn Brown, and Mary Jane Allen.
    Friends may call on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, PA, on Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the Glen Burnie United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM and from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Prince Frederick where funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM. Interment Asbury United Methodist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
