    Catherine L. Bellinger, 89, a resident of the Solley area for most of her life died on March 7, 2013 at Harbor Hospital.

    She was born on October 7, 1923 in Richmond, VA. to the late Walter and Lenora Workman, Sr.

    Mrs. Bellinger retired from Union Trust Bank in the mid 1970’s after 18 years.  She was a member of Solley United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, the Stoney Creek Democratic Club and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #277 where she held various offices.  Mrs. Bellinger was an environmental activist and active in political clubs.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, square dancing, and playing shuffle board at the American Legion.

    Mrs. Bellinger is preceded in death by her husband of over 57 years, Lewis W. Bellinger and her son Burton Lewis Bellinger.

    She is survived by her daughter Marcia Brannock of Pasadena, her brother Walter Scott Burton Workman, Jr. of CT, her sisters; Charlotte List of Baltimore County, Evelyn Appell of Baltimore County, and Mary F. Workman of Scottsdale, AZ, her granddaughters Faith Bellinger of Glen Burnie and Christine Pearson of Columbia, and her great grandchildren Ryne Pearson and Deiadra Taylor

    Friends may call on Sunday and Monday from 3:00 to 5:00 an d 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, PA.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 AM at Solley United Methodist Church 7600 Solley Rd., Glen Burnie, MD 21060.  Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
