    Glenwood F. Merica, 84, a World War II veterans and a Pasadena resident died on September 9, 2008 at Genesis Elder Care in Severna Park, MD.
    He was born on December 28, 1923 in Elkton, Virginia to the late Dewey C. and Effie J. Merica.
    He joined the US Army in 1943 where he was a radar operator until he was honorably discharged in 1945.  Mr. Merica was a life time member of the VFW Post 2462 and the American Legion of Pasadena.
    Mr. Merica was a member of the NRA.
    He enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, his pets, and birds.
    He is survived by his son William D. Merica of Pasadena, his daughters Cheryl Meeks of Pasadena, Sandra L. Duke of Pasadena, his brother Martin W. Merica of Baltimore, his sisters Eleanor Harris of Baltimore, Beverly Jackson of Ashland, KY, three grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
    Friends may call on Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, PA where funeral services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 1:00 PM.  Interment will be at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
