  • Violet B. Cosgrove, 85, a resident of Glen Burnie for 50 years died on May 14, 2013 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

    She was born on December 25, 1926 in Wayland, MI to the late Louis and Mary Panyrek. 

    Mrs. Cosgrove worked as a search analyst for NSA.  She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Association for Children with Learning Disabilities from 1972-1992 where she served as President, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Naval Fleet Reserve Ladies Auxiliary, Partners in Care, Vocational Education and Guidance Advisory Committees for AA Co. Public Schools, and the Pascal Go Getters where she videotaped programs.  Mrs. Cosgrove enjoyed country music and writing lyrics.

    Mrs. Cosgrove is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, James W. Cosgrove.

    She is survived by her son Louis R. Cosgrove and his wife Patty of Glen Burnie, her brother Edward J. Panyrek and his wife Joan of MI, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Friends may call on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, PA.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Noon on Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.  Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville.  Memorial contributions may be made to Partners in Care 90 B Ritchie Highway in Pasadena, MD 21122.
